Musik och hantverk i ljuv förening

Läste precis på ett ganska välkänt socialt nätverk att Jan Carleklev (känd från band som Sanctum, Azure Skies, Mago mm, som har släppt skivor på Cold Meat Indutry, Ant-Zen och Ad noiseam)har gjort musik till en dansföreställning för barn. Föreställningen heter Stick och Virk och innhåller stickade mjukisdjur samt människor som dansar. Musiken (följ länken och lyssna lite)är gjord till stor del av ljud från stick och virknålar. Så här beskriver han föreställningen på sin sida.

Stick & Virk is all about patterns and how those can be changed. It is a dance performance and workshop where stuffed animals and new technology meets to manifest creativity and an open mind.
My main responsibility in "stick & virk" was to write the music and soundscape for the play. I have also been involved in creating interactive props for the dancers performance. Musically I have been focusing on the experience of patterns and how different materials can sound. In knitting patterns is everything and to break those patterns, it is very much like how I often chose to approach music. "Stick & virk" is a very humorous and often funny play and my intention with the music is to contrast this both rhythmically and emotionaly.
